Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our program! From group leaders to race day volunteers, we need an army of volunteers to help make our program a success. Plus, you do not need prior triathlon experience to volunteer! Opportunities include: Group Leaders, General Volunteers, Triathlon Event Day Volunteers. Volunteer registration is now open for the 2023 program.
To find out more about how you can volunteer, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator at ironhawkjuniors@gmail.com.
Group Leaders
Manage a small group of approximately 6-10 Juniors, making sure they arrive at each section of their weekly practices safely, participating in non-race preparation group activities, and are upholding the Values of the Ironhawk Juniors Triathlon Program. Group leaders should be able to commit to being at all weekly practice sessions and IHJ Triathlon event day.
General Volunteers
These volunteers should be flexible and assist with whatever duties needed during the weekly practices, including: set up, tear down, pass out snacks, and assist group leaders or bike/run leaders. If you have a specific interest in swim, bike, or run, we will put you to work!
Triathlon Event Day Volunteers
There is a large amount of work that goes into making the Triathlon Event Day a success, which we could not do without our Event Day volunteers! Event Day volunteers will assist with setup, tear down, race registration and cheering on the Juniors as they cross the finish line!
Event Day volunteers can be 15 years of age or older, making it a great opportunity for students to get volunteer credits.
